Jan-28-2018 ~ ACMA Annual General Meeting

Dear ACMA Member,

 

Please take notice that the Annual General Meeting of the members of the ASSOCIATION OF COUNTRY MUSIC IN ALBERTA (ACMATM) will be held in the Monaco Room at the Sheraton Red Deer Hotel,  Red Deer, Alberta, on Sunday, January 28th, 2018 at the hour of 11:00am for the purpose of receiving the annual report of the ACMATM for the fiscal period ending September 30, 2017; for the appointment of the auditor(s) of the ACMATM for the ensuing year, for the election of the Board of Directors and for a special resolution for bylaw changes. 

 

Proxies

If it is not your intention to be present at this meeting you can assign your vote to an eligible voting member of the ACMA™ who will be in attendance. Proxy Assignment information and the Agenda for the 2017 Annual General Meeting can be found here.

Jan-28-2018 ~ 2017 Cocktails & Gala Dinner

The 7th annual Alberta Country Music Awards will begin with a cocktail hour and Gala Dinner located in the Special Events center of the Sheraton Red Deer Hotel.

Cocktails will begin at 4:00 pm with red carpet interviews being done by 95.5 Real Country.

The Gala Dinner will begin promptly at 5:15 pm  with a buffet style set-up. 

Following the Gala Dinner is the 2017 Alberta Country Music Awards starting at 7:00 pm till 9:00 pm

Jan-28-2018 ~ 2017 Alberta Country Music Awards

The ACMA™ is pleased to announce the 7th annual Alberta Country Music Awards being held at the Sheraton Red Deer Hotel on January 28th 2018. The Alberta Country Music Awards will start at 7:00pm following the Cocktails and Gala Dinner.

Hosted by Jackie Rae and Brad Mates, the evening will include performances from ACMA™ Rising Star Nominee’s: Blake Reid; Jamie Woodfin (also nominated for Single of the Year); Mikaila Cooper (also nominated for Female Artist of the Year and Single of the Year); and The Orchard (also nominated for Album of the Year). ACMA™ RIsing Star nominees The Dungarees will be unable to attend this years awards as they will be touring in Australia. 
 
Additional performances by: Hailey Benedict (nominated for Fan's Choice and Horizon Youth); Karac Hendriks (nominated for Male Artist of the Year); Lauren Mayell (nominated for Female Artist of the Year); Nice Horse (nominated for Group of the Year and Album of the Year); and Renegade Station (nominated for Group of the Year and Fan's Choice).

Special performance by country music legend Ian Tyson.
 
These fantastic artists will be backed by the ACMA™ House Band consisting of Brendan Lyons on drums, Ray Banman on bass, Smokey Fennel on steel and CCMA guitar player of the year Ryan Davidson

The ACMA™ is excited to bring back two fantastic seminars again this year at the 2017 Alberta Country Music Awards™.

The ACMA™ is pleased to announce that the first seminar taking place at the Awards Weekend will be hosted by Rob Smith. The President & CEO of Royalty Records will host:
