This award is for a male artist.

CRITERIA:

• Are members in good standing as of October 1st of that upcoming fiscal year
• This category will be voted on by the members of the ACMA with rights to do so.
• First round of voting will be November 1st through November 30th
• The top ten (10) contenders collected from the First Ballot as decided upon by the membership will automatically be placed on the 2nd ballot.
• One award is presented to the artist.

This award is for a female artist.

CRITERIA:

• Are members in good standing as of October 1st of that upcoming fiscal year
• This category will be voted on by the members of the ACMA with rights to do so.
• First round of voting will be November 1st through November 30th
• The top ten (10) contenders collected from the First Ballot as decided upon by the membership will automatically be placed on the 2nd ballot.
• One award is presented to the Artist.

• One Award is presented to the artist/group/duo. Within a Group or Duo at least 50% of the members must be ACMA members in good standing.

This award is for talent buyers.

CRITERIA:

• The talent buyer must be an ACMA member in good standing as of October 1st of that upcoming fiscal year.
• This category will be voted on by the members of the ACMA with rights to do so.
• First round of voting will be November 1st through November 30th
• The top ten (10) contenders collected from the First Ballot as decided upon by the membership will automatically be placed on the 2nd ballot.
• One Award is presented to the talent buyer.

This award is for an individual.

CRITERIA:

• Are members in good standing as of October 1st of that upcoming fiscal year
• This category will be voted on by the members of the ACMA with rights to do so.
• First round of voting will be November 1st through November 30th
• The top ten (10) contenders collected from the First Ballot as decided upon by the membership will automatically be placed on the 2nd ballot.
• One award is presented to the individual.

CRITERIA:

• Are members in good standing as of October 1st of that upcoming fiscal year
• Have released a song during the time period of October 1st through September 30th of the previous fiscal year
• This Award is only for tracks which have been charted as singles during the eligibility period, which for the purpose of this award is October 1st through September 30th of the previous fiscal year.
• Only eligible singles which were among the top five (5) spinning singles at radio, by an ACMA member within this eligibility period will qualify. The list of qualifying singles will be compiled through Trax Report.
• The top five (5) contenders will automatically placed on the 2nd ballot for voting on by our membership.
• One Award is presented to the Act (Solo, Duo or Group). Within a Group or Duo at least 50% of the members must be ACMA members in good standing.

This award is for artists.

CRITERIA:

• Are members in good standing as of October 1st of the that upcoming fiscal year
• Have released a song during the time period October 1st through September 30th of the previous fiscal year
• This category is open only to those artists who meet the CRTC definition of Emerging artist as defined in Broadcasting Regulatory Policy CRTC 2011-316
• This category is open only to those artists who have never before won the Rising Star Award and who have never before won for the Fans' Choice Award, Single of the Year, Group or Duo of the Year, Female Artist of the Year, Male Artist of the Year or Album of the Year.
• The top five (5) contenders as determined by Trax Report to be the top spinning artists at radio, by an ACMA member within this eligibility period with qualify.
• The top five (5) contenders will automatically be placed on the 2nd Ballot for voting on by our membership.
• One Award is presented to the Act (Solo, Duo or Group). Within a Group or Duo at least 50% of the members must be ACMA members in good standing.

This award is for a songwriter(s).

CRITERIA:

• Are members in good standing as of October 1st of that upcoming fiscal year
• The songwriter(s) song has been commercially verifiably released during the period October 1st – September 30th of the previous fiscal year
• The song they are being nominated for contains a total of no less than 50% of songwriting credit consisting of music or lyrics or a combination thereof, being written by the member.
• This category will be voted on by the members of the ACMA with rights to do so.
• First round of voting will be October 1st through November 14th
• The top ten (10) contenders collected from the First Ballot as decided upon by the membership will automatically be placed on the 2nd ballot.
• One Award is presented to the writer(s)/member. Within collaborations, at least 50% of the writer(s)/members must be ACMA members in good standing.

CRITERIA:

• Are members in good standing as of October 1st of the upcoming fiscal year
• Has released a commercially verifiable album or EP during the period of October 1st – September 30th of the previous fiscal year.
• This Award is for an album as a whole unit. An Album is defined as a project containing no less than six (6) tracks and can be a special project or commemorative package. Greatest Hits albums do not qualify. Compilation albums do not qualify.
• The Album must have been released during the eligibility period.
• Final Nominees from the previous year are not eligible for the same album in the current year.
• The top ten (10) contenders will be determined by majority vote by our membership through the first ballot.
• The top ten (10) contenders will automatically be placed on the 2nd Ballot for voting on by our membership.
• The Album should be judged on all aspects including, but not limited to, artistic performance, production, design, and art layout and liner notes.
• One Award is presented to the Act (Solo, Duo or Group). Within a Group or Duo at least 50% of the members must be ACMA members in good standing.
